Peak Blacksmithing operates from a purpose-built forge at Dale View Farm on the edge of Bakewell, where a small team of blacksmiths, including Jessica, Tim Puddephatt and Phil, produce traditional wrought-iron work by hand. The workshop houses three double forges and a gas forge and takes on bespoke commissions for gates, railings, light fittings and restoration work on heritage buildings, alongside smaller decorative pieces. Beyond commission work, the forge runs experience days and short courses for members of the public wanting to try blacksmithing themselves, and appears at country fairs and Christmas markets with live demonstrations through the year. The business is recognised by the Guild of Master Craftsmen for its traditional metalworking skills. It operates as a single working forge rather than a retail outlet, with visitors booking ahead for experience days or commissioning work directly through the workshop.
