Tonbridge River Trips runs guided cruises on the River Medway from the Big Bridge on Tonbridge High Street, using an electric launch named Enid May that carries up to twelve passengers. The business, owned and operated by Pete Dale, has run trips since the boat's launch in 2015 as a low-emission alternative to diesel-powered river boats. The season runs from mid-March to the end of October, with sailings on varying days through spring and autumn and daily trips in August; rowing boats are hired separately from May to October. Trips can also be booked for exclusive private hire by the hour. For 2026 the operator has added themed Dawn Chorus sailings in April and May. The business is a small, independently run operator rather than part of a larger boat-hire chain, and remains one of the few options for river cruising directly from Tonbridge town centre.
