Alban Hill Nurseries is a family-owned plant nursery on the High Street in Sherington, on the edge of Newport Pagnell and within reach of Olney. It grows and sells a broad range of plants, including flowers, shrubs, roses, climbers, perennials, alpines, topiary, trees, fruit trees, herbs and hedging, along with seeds, bulbs, compost and aggregates, plus garden furniture, tools and sundries. A tea room on site serves homemade cakes, which makes it as much a local stop as a supply run for gardeners. Staff are on hand for plant advice, and the nursery leans toward the knowledgeable, independent end of garden retail rather than the big-shed model. It operates from this single Sherington site and is independently run. The setting on the village High Street keeps it close to Newport Pagnell without the scale of a chain garden centre.
