Barn Close Nurseries is a family-run plant nursery on Old Warwick Road just outside Warwick, run by James and his family from a single countryside site. Much of what it sells is grown on the nursery itself, which keeps prices down: bedding plants, hanging baskets, shrubs, fruit trees and topiary, the last including specimens brought in direct from Tuscany. Seasonal lines rotate through the year, taking in spring and summer bedding, autumn planting, and Christmas trees, bulbs and kiln-dried logs in the colder months. It is a growing-led nursery rather than a large garden centre with concessions, so the emphasis falls on plants and the people who raise them rather than gift halls or cafés. Opening is 10am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday, with parking on site, and it lies a short drive from Warwick and Barford.
