Baytown Coffee Company roasts on a working farm above Whitby, in an old cowshed converted in 2019. Nick and Ann Louise run the roastery with their four children, roasting small batches through the week to keep stock moving quickly from bag to cup. The farm setting means deliveries come and go past cattle sheds rather than a shopfront, and the coffee is sold mainly by subscription and online, with beans sourced through direct relationships with growers. The focus stays on demystifying coffee rather than dressing it up: origin, roast date and brew method are all printed plainly on the bag. It is a family operation first, a roastery second, run from the same farm where the family lives and works.
