Blue Lias Gallery has traded from a corner unit on Coombe Street in Lyme Regis for more than fifteen years, taking its name from the blue-grey limestone that forms the fossil-rich cliffs on either side of the town. The gallery selects paintings, ceramics, jewellery and home furnishings from artists working across the South West, rotating stock through the year rather than holding a fixed permanent collection. Coombe Street forms part of Lyme Regis's arts quarter near the Town Mill, and Blue Lias operates as a single boutique gallery rather than a wider group. Its stock ranges from coastal-themed wall art to handmade jewellery and garden pieces, reflecting the geology and seascape on its doorstep. The gallery is owner-run and open most days through the year, with a shorter winter schedule.
