C. Webb & Sons has traded from the same shop on Witton Street in Northwich since 1929, when Charles Webb, who had learned his craft as an apprentice from 1887, opened the business under his own name. Three generations of the Webb family have since kept the counter stocked with beef, pork, lamb and poultry from British farms, alongside handmade sausages, bacon and gammon cured on site. The pie counter is the shop's particular strength, with recipes that have taken prizes at regional pie competitions over the years, sold alongside cooked meats, artisan cheeses and homemade chutneys. Customers can order meat boxes for the freezer or ring ahead for specific cuts. The shop keeps to a five-day week, closing on Sundays and Mondays, with free parking outside for quick visits.
