Crockatinney Guesthouse

Antrim & the Causeway Coast · NIR

Ballycastle · Antrim & the Causeway CoastSurveyed

Crockatinney was built as a purpose-built bed and breakfast by Francis and the late Mary McGinn, completed in 1999 on the Whitepark Road between Ballycastle and the Giant's Causeway. The McGinn family still run the guesthouse, which sits close to Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and the Dark Hedges, with views toward Rathlin Island and Fair Head. Rooms are let with breakfast included, and the house has its own garden and off-road parking. It operates as a family business rather than a franchised or branded chain property, with day-to-day running handled directly by the family rather than external management. Guests staying here are typically touring the north coast attractions rather than passing through, given the guesthouse's position roughly midway between Ballycastle and Bushmills. The building itself is modern by comparison with the area's older coaching inns, but it has operated under the same family's ownership since it was completed over two decades ago.
