Doune Park Gallery opened earlier this year in a converted barn at Carse of Cambus Cottage in Buchany, on the A84 just outside Doune, next to the Scottish Antiques and Arts Centre. It was set up by Wendy Ebblewhite Robertson as an exhibition space for contemporary painters alongside a working picture-framing bench run by Graham Stevens, a Guild Commended framer with some forty years in the trade. Early shows have included a returning exhibition from an established Scottish painter after a decade away from solo exhibiting, alongside antiques and craft pieces sold through the gallery floor. As a business only months into trading it has a short public record, but it occupies a single site, is independently owned rather than council or trust-run, and combines retail framing work with gallery exhibitions rather than functioning purely as an event space. It is open Wednesday to Sunday, closed Monday and Tuesday.
