Glenbarr Stores sits on the A83 at Glenbarr, roughly fifteen minutes' drive north of Campbeltown and some way south of Tarbert, and combines a garden centre, café, gift shop and bed and breakfast under one family-run company. The garden centre side sells plants, shrubs, trees, compost and pots for Kintyre gardens, while the attached café bakes daily and was named one of Scotland's top five tearooms by The Times in 2025. The gift shop carries Scottish-made goods and produce, and the business also lets rooms through an adjoining bed and breakfast known as The House. A play village for young children, Little Glenbarr, runs alongside the café in season. The stores have become a stopping point on the long drive down the Kintyre peninsula, positioned roughly midway between the ferry towns at either end. It operates as a single site under Glenbarr Stores Limited, with no other branches elsewhere in Argyll.
