Lintzford Garden Centre sits just off the A694 in the Derwent Valley outside Rowlands Gill, on the Gateshead side of the Tyne Valley. Established in 2007, it operates independently of the larger garden centre groups, stocking bedding plants, trees, shrubs and hedging alongside garden tools, oak furniture and giftware. Staff are on hand to advise on planting and plant care rather than simply restocking shelves, and the centre's on-site café serves as a stopping point for visitors travelling between Newcastle, Consett and the Northumberland border. The site draws a mix of local gardeners and passing trade from the A694, and has built a reputation in the Tyne Valley for its range of hardy stock suited to North East growing conditions.
