Roger and Matt founded Mill Bank Coffee Co in 2021, converting a wood shed on family land at Cradley into a roastery after struggling to find good coffee close to home. Their family has worked this stretch of land on the Herefordshire-Worcestershire border for four generations. They roast single-origin arabica on a vintage machine rather than blending, sourcing beans through UK importers who deal directly with small cooperatives and farms. A brew bar added during 2024 renovations lets customers taste before buying beans to take home. The roastery opens Thursday to Saturday, and a converted coffee trailer takes the same beans to markets and festivals around the county. Cradley sits between Bromyard and the Malvern Hills, off the main Herefordshire tourist routes.
