Old TownBooks

Old Town Books opened on 8 March 2025 at 44 High Street in Bridlington's Old Town, run by local resident Rebecca Gaines in what was once her great-grandparents' home. The shop stocks a mix of new releases and secondhand titles across fiction, children's books and local history, alongside literary gifts and cards, and takes special orders for titles not held in stock. The premises are compact, so the secondhand range turns over depending on what customers bring in, but it covers most genres at any one time. Old Town Books is open Tuesday and Wednesday from 10.30am to 2.30pm and Thursday to Saturday from 10.30am to 4pm. It stands among the Old Town's cluster of independent shops on the high street running down toward the harbour.
