Smith heads the kitchen, cooking for an oak-panelled dining room that looks out over the orchards and hop gardens the Weald is known for growing. Bedrooms upstairs range from four-poster rooms to family suites, and the inn holds an AA four-star rating alongside a 2025 AA Dinner Award. Next door, the Old 8 Bells function room hosts music nights and private parties under separate booking. The bar serves breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner most days, with a beer garden and terrace open for outdoor drinking and dining.
