The Devonshire Arms occupies a Grade II listed building on Station Street that dates from around 1830 and has traded as a public house since the 1840s. Known locally as the Devvie, it passed through Eadie's, Bass, Ind Coope and Burton Bridge Brewery ownership before Carl and Nicki Stout took it on in February 2019 as a free house, having previously run the Burton Bridge Inn for a decade. The single-site pub keeps a rotating line-up of cask ales alongside ciders and lagers, and won Burton and South Derbyshire CAMRA's Pub of the Year in 2020. Its restoration was jointly recognised with Best Refurbishment at the CAMRA Pub Design Awards in 2001. The bar retains a traditional layout across several small rooms, with photographs charting decades of regulars on its walls.
