Brothers Charles and Edmund Inkin run this former coastguard lookout station at the edge of Mousehole alongside the Gurnard's Head at Zennor and the Felin Fach Griffin in the Brecon Beacons — three inns kept deliberately distinct rather than pressed into a brand. Fourteen bedrooms mostly face the water, towards St Michael's Mount and the Lizard; a sub-tropical garden runs down toward the sea, with the Crab Shack bar-kitchen out in it through the warmer months. The brasserie-style menu leans on fish landed at Newlyn, a mile up the road, with Cornish beef and poultry behind it. Open every day of the year bar Christmas and a short January pause.
