The Oxfordshire Yeoman occupies a building on Wroslyn Road in Freeland, near Witney, constructed in 1842 by William Merry as the New Inn and sold to the Morrells brewery in 1846; it took its current name in 1974 and remains the only public house in the village. Anna and Paul have run the pub as a freehouse since taking over the lease at the end of October 2020, choosing their own cask ales rather than being tied to a single brewery. The single-site pub serves home-cooked food alongside its ale selection and is dog-friendly, with a Saturday pizza food truck on the forecourt. Freeland has no other pub, so the Yeoman serves as the village's main meeting place for meals and a drink, with no second site or wider group behind it.
