Steve and Nicola Reynolds have run the Stagg Inn in Titley, near Kington, since 1998, with Steve cooking after earlier work in professional kitchens including Le Gavroche. In 2001 the pub became the first in the UK to hold a Michelin star, a title it kept until 2016. The kitchen builds menus around seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, with Herefordshire beef, game and Devon seafood typical of dishes served in the pub bar and linen-tabled restaurant. Three en-suite bedrooms are let above the pub itself. The Stagg Inn remains an independent, single-site business trading from this one Titley address, with no other branches.
