John and Liz Heard set a brewery going in a converted milking parlour on their farm in 2009 — Condolden is, by CAMRA's account, the highest farm in Cornwall — and the brewing water comes off the farm's own spring in the hills above Tintagel. The flagship is Caliburn, an old ale of roasted malt, caramel and dark fruit that won its category at the Great British Beer Festival Winter in 2025 and went through to the Champion Beer of Britain finals the same summer, with a SIBA South West gold alongside. Simon Thresh leads the brewing. Tours at £12.50 a head end in a guided tasting, and the Barn Café pours the range beside a viewing gallery onto the brewhouse.
