Trevena Cross Nurseries began in 1976 when the late Mr Jeffery and his son Graham started growing produce on a field near Breage, outside Helston, before a shared interest in unusual species turned the business toward palms, tree ferns and olive trees. Graham Jeffery still owns and runs the nursery, which now covers 35 acres and grows more than 90 per cent of the plants it sells on site rather than buying stock in. Alongside the growing grounds, the site includes the Palm Tree Bistro and a farm shop selling local produce. Visitors can walk the growing fields as well as the retail area, and the nursery offers delivery across the country. Trevena Cross operates from this one Breage site, with no other branches.
