Woodside MicroPub

Woodside Micro Pub opened in a former convenience store on Low Lane on Friday 13 December 2019, converting one modest retail unit into a small free house rather than expanding onto a full pub footprint. Reece James and Sam Smith took over the business in late summer 2025 after meeting behind the bar at Leeds Postal Service on Wellington Street, and now run it as a community local rather than a big night out. The beer list runs mainly to English craft brewing with Belgian and German bottles filling gaps, kept deliberately short rather than chasing every new release. A Thursday quiz pays out a bar-tab prize, and the till takes Horsforth Pound alongside cash and card. Reece, with a decade in bar management, describes the pub as being there for its regulars.
