Binns of Saltaire is a butcher and delicatessen at 42 Bingley Road, on premises that have traded as a butcher's shop since 1968. The business is run by Paul Binns, whose grandfather Craven farmed at Far Shay Farm near Denholme Gate and whose father Richard worked as a butcher from his teens. Paul started behind the counter on Saturdays at 13, qualified as a butcher at 16, and now runs the Saltaire shop with his wife Mandi, who joined in 2016 to open its delicatessen counter. The shop cuts fresh meat on site and sells sausages, pies, Kievs and other prepared meals alongside a deli range of cheeses, sandwiches and burgers, sourcing from Yorkshire farms and wholesalers the family has dealt with for years. Binns opens Monday to Saturday, 7am to 5pm, closed Sundays, serving Saltaire's Bingley Road shopping stretch as a working neighbourhood butcher.
