Richard and Cathryn Reynolds bought Bodnant Welsh Food out of liquidation in December 2018 and reopened the farm shop at Tal-y-Cafn on 1 February 2019. The site occupies an 18th-century converted Furnace Farm in the Conwy Valley, combining a farm shop with two restaurants, an in-house bakery, a butchery and a cookery school. About 81 percent of the produce sold comes from Welsh suppliers, and the family added extra bakers to keep pace with demand for their own bread and cakes. Judges named Bodnant Welsh Food the Wales Regional Winner at the Farm Shop & Deli Retailer Awards 2021, praising its response to changing customer habits during the pandemic, including a new online shop and home delivery service. The business employs around fifty staff and remains family run, with the Reynolds daughters, Olivia and Tilly, also involved in day-to-day operations.
