Cafe Castan

Cafe Castan sits at the entrance to Llandaff Fields on Penhill Road, run by owner Geoffrey White-Park. The kiosk-style cafe serves breakfast and lunch to dog walkers, families and park regulars, with hot food cooked to order and a menu built around locally sourced ingredients. Handmade pizzas are a fixture alongside sandwiches, paninis and homemade cakes, eaten at picnic tables under the trees or inside the small dining room. In summer the cafe extends its hours into the evening on Fridays and Saturdays to catch the last of the daylight over the fields. It has appeared repeatedly in local guides to Cardiff's independent food scene and remains a fixture for anyone crossing Llandaff Fields on foot.
