Cam Family Butchers trades from 3-5 Phillimore Road in Cam, on the edge of Dursley. The shop was opened by Mark, who grew up on his family's farm at Wainlode near Norton and trained in traditional sausage-making before taking on his own premises at the age of 22; the business has now traded under his ownership for more than two decades. The counter sells beef, pork, lamb and poultry alongside 21-day matured steaks, and the shop is known locally for its sausages, bacon and pies, made using traditional curing methods and recipes the family has built up over the years. Cam Family Butchers sources its meat from farms across Gloucestershire and will make up bespoke flavour combinations to order. The business also runs an event catering service and delivers across the county. It is open Tuesday to Friday mornings and afternoons and Saturday mornings, closing Sunday and Monday. The shop's sausages, bacon and pies have received recognition in regional food competitions over the years.
