The Yellow-Lighted Bookshop runs two shops nine miles apart, one on Church Street in Tetbury and a second on Fountain Street in Nailsworth, both stocking fiction, non-fiction and children's titles rather than a narrow bestseller table. Staff take special orders and will track down out-of-print requests rather than just shelving what publishers push. The shop supplies books to local schools, builds booklists for teachers preparing a term's reading, and organises book fairs rather than treating schools as a separate sideline. Both branches open seven days a week, from 10am on weekdays and Saturdays and 11am on Sundays, and accept National Book Tokens alongside running a newsletter that gives regulars advance notice of events and new stock.
