Caspar's Bottle Shop opened on Potternewton Lane in March 2018, built around a fridge and shelf selection of craft beer rather than the wine and spirits carried by most corner shops nearby. The format sits between a bottle shop and a pub: customers can drink in at a handful of outside seats or take bottles and cans home, and the shop runs a local delivery service across North Leeds for people who would rather not carry crates. Since opening, the shop has hosted regular tastings and informal gatherings rather than treating retail as the only reason to visit. The range rotates often enough that regulars check back weekly rather than assuming the same beers will be on the shelf. It closes on Mondays, then runs a short working week from Tuesday to Saturday before a shorter Sunday afternoon session.
