Fonthill BrewingCo

Fonthill Brewing Co began brewing in December 2017, when founders Rich and Paul installed a small pilot kit in the cellar of The George, a free house on Mount Ephraim in Tunbridge Wells. The brewery takes its name from Fonthill, the site nearby where the pair had already converted a derelict council building into the Tunbridge Wells Forum, a live music venue, in 1993. Flagship beer Good Morning Captain, a session pale ale brewed with Cascade and Amarillo hops, is joined by Flame On, a mango-infused IPA made with Azacca and Magnum hops added late in fermentation. Beer is brewed in small batches and supplied mainly to The George and two sister pubs in the town. The taproom opens Friday evenings, 5pm to 11pm, and Saturdays, midday to 11pm.
