Paul Olding and two partner families planted Wildwood Vineyard outside Eridge in 2016, taking their first harvest two years later, and run the site off-grid using sustainable, hand-tended growing methods rather than mechanised rows. The vineyard grows Bacchus, Pinot Noir and Regent grapes for still and sparkling English wine, sold direct from an on-site cellar door rather than through wider distribution. Weekend tours from May to September combine a walk through the vines and woodland with a guided tasting of three wines and a cheese plate sourced from East Sussex producers. The vineyard won the Food and Drink category at the 2025 Tunbridge Wells Business Awards. Visitors can also arrive by the Spa Valley heritage steam railway, which stops close to the vineyard gate, making it one of the few local vineyards reachable without a car.
