Ye Olde Crown has stood on Edenbridge High Street since at least the fourteenth century, when the town is said to have served travellers in the reign of Edward III. The first documented licensee, Robert Fuller, ran the inn as Fullers House in 1593, and the building still carries a distinctive Kentish bridging sign spanning the High Street. Current owners Irene and Eamonn took over the pub in July 2020, adding a cocktail bar and refreshed menus of traditional English food alongside Spanish tapas. Inside, low ceilings, exposed beams and an open fireplace remain from the older building fabric. The inn has six en-suite letting rooms, two twin and four double, each individually decorated, with breakfast included. Bar hours run Monday to Thursday, 10am to 10.30pm or 11pm, extending later on Friday and Saturday nights.
