The OldEden

The Old Eden is a 16th-century public house at 121 High Street in Edenbridge, serving cask ales, wine and spirits alongside a daily food menu, closed on Tuesdays. The building retains low ceilings, exposed beams and an old fireplace from its Tudor origins. Operators Marissa and Simon took over the pub's running in May 2024, bringing more than 30 years of combined hospitality experience, and have continued its food-led approach while keeping it open as a community local. The pub won a TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice award in 2022 under previous management, and reviews since the change of hands into 2026 have been mixed on food consistency, though the pub remains open and trading. It runs as an independent, single-site free house rather than as part of a managed pub group, with a beer garden and dog-friendly policy supporting its role as a High Street meeting point.
