Loch Lomond Brewery was founded in 2011 by Fiona and Euan Maceachern, who began brewing in their own kitchen in Luss before setting up a commercial brewery in Alexandria the same year. Production later moved to a purpose-built 35-hectolitre brewery with its own canning line in Renton in 2019, on the Vale of Leven Industrial Estate, where the business remains family run. A brewery shop sells the full range of cask, keg, bottled and canned beer for takeaway, alongside Scottish spirits, wine and soft drinks, while an attached taproom opens at weekends with live music and space for families and dogs. The beer has picked up recognition from CAMRA and the Society of Independent Brewers over the years. The business continues to operate independently rather than as part of a larger drinks group.
