One Canon

One Canon occupies the corner site at 1 Canonmills, a two-roomed neighbourhood bar and eatery with bare floorboards and original cornice work, family owned since 2019. A pizza menu was added in 2022 alongside cocktails, and since March 2025 the bar has carried two rotating cask ales, from breweries including Fyne Ales and Loch Leven, ending a six-year gap without real ale on site. The pub describes itself as an independent cocktail and pizza bar rather than part of a managed group, and uses food and drink suppliers from the local area. It runs a Tuesday quiz night, hosts occasional live music, keeps board games behind the bar and welcomes dogs. Food service runs close to the bar's own hours, stopping slightly earlier in the evening. Opening hours: Monday from five, Tuesday to Thursday and Sunday from midday, Friday and Saturday from midday until midnight.
