The CoffeeSack

The Coffee Sack sits on Scholes Lane in Prestwich, opened in 2017 by Kate and Johanna, who met working together at a Salford Quays restaurant in 2008 and later decided to run a place of their own. The café bar serves coffee, cakes and a menu spanning breakfast through dinner, alongside beer, wine and gin, drawing both morning regulars and evening drinkers. In 2022 it won Best Cafe and Best Customer Service at the England's Business Awards. The room is small and unfussy, with mismatched seating and a counter facing the street, giving it the feel of a genuine neighbourhood local rather than a chain outpost. Staff know regulars by name and order. It sits a short walk from Prestwich village centre, on a residential lane off Bury New Road.
