Vera McCullough runs a bespoke jewellery workshop from Hazelbank Road in Broughshane, at the foot of Slemish Mountain. Czech-born and trained at the Jewellery School of Applied Art in Turnov, she worked in London's Hatton Garden district before setting up her own bench in County Antrim. Her workshop makes and repairs silver and gold jewellery to commission, and she won Best Jeweller at the Northern Ireland Wedding Awards. Alongside retail and repair work, McCullough runs three-hour ring-making sessions in which visitors saw, file, solder and polish their own set of silver stacking rings under her supervision, taking the finished pieces home the same day. Sessions run for individuals, small groups, and occasions such as hen parties, with prosecco or afternoon tea add-ons available. The business operates from this single Broughshane premises, combining a working bench, small showroom and teaching space rather than a multi-outlet retail chain.
