The Blacksheep Gallery occupies a converted barn behind the Broughshane home of painter Judith Logan and her husband, photographer Hernan, who trades as HF Photography. Judith paints and draws in a naive, figurative style exploring identity and belonging, themes she traces to ten years spent living in Chile before settling in County Antrim. Hernan's photographic prints hang alongside her paintings and works on paper. Judith has been selected every year in the open show of the UK Coloured Pencil Society since joining in 2013. The gallery keeps limited public hours to leave time for making new work, with private viewings arranged outside those hours. Visitors see both artists' work directly from the studio where it is made, rather than through a dealer or an agent representing them elsewhere.
