Wapping Tavern

Wapping Tavern occupies a former spice factory on Wapping Lane, restored to expose original features of the building above a basement given over to pool, shuffleboard, table tennis, foosball and arcade machines. Operated by Wapping Taverns Ltd, whose director Andy Bell has run the pub since it was set up in 2021, the tavern trades independently of any brewery or pub company, pouring twenty-eight taps of craft beer, lager and cider alongside a curated wine list and cocktails. Food runs to a gastropub menu built around pies and New York-style pizzas. Seventeen screens and projectors show live sport through the week, and the pub hosts quiz nights on a regular schedule. A dog-friendly policy and daytime workspace with WiFi extend its use beyond evening trade, drawing in local remote workers alongside the sports crowd that fills the games room.
