Wild Flor opened on Church Road in Hove in spring 2019, founded by James Thomson, Faye Hudson and Rob Maynard, who met while working together at The White Horse in Steyning and The Ginger Pig in Hove before settling on their own neighbourhood restaurant over lunch at Noble Rot in London. Head chef George Upshall cooks a classic, seasonal menu built around simplicity and good sourcing, paired with a wine list that has been named among the UK's top 100 by Wine List Confidential. The single-site restaurant was added to the Michelin Guide within weeks of opening and has remained listed every year since, alongside a place in the Good Food Guide. It operates independently from its Church Road premises, without sister branches elsewhere in the city.
