The 10:50 From Victoria is a micropub reached through a wooden gate off North Street in Strood, up an alley into a yard beneath a railway arch, which is where the name comes from. It opened in March 2015 and works to the micropub template: a small, conversation-led room with no music or fruit machines, and a short changing range of cask ales and ciders served straight from the cellar rather than through pressurised pumps. It is an independent free house, not tied to any brewery, run as a single site. The beers rotate frequently and tend to come from Kentish and other small breweries, with the choice chalked up rather than fixed. The garden yard is used in warmer months. It keeps to the pared-back format that has made Medway one of the denser micropub areas in the country.
