Jetstream Tours runs river trips from Limehouse Landing, a floating pontoon on the River Medway at Rochester Riverside, reached on foot from Rochester station along the creek path. Director Richard Bain founded the company in 2013, starting with a single fast jet boat offering high-speed rides along the Medway and out toward the Thames Estuary. In 2016 the company added a second, slower vessel, Jacob Marley, built with disabled access, a bar and toilets, and low enough to pass under Rochester Bridge, opening trips to families and less able passengers. Cruises pass Chatham Historic Dockyard, a decommissioned Cold War submarine and go under the bridge to views of Rochester Castle and Cathedral from the water. Public sailings run mainly from April to October, with private charter, group bookings and an ashes-scattering service also available, plus gift vouchers valid for a year. The company also holds the operating contract for the Gravesend to Tilbury foot ferry, but runs as a single independent operator rather than part of a national tour company.
