Bluestone is a family microbrewery on the Turners' farm at Cilgwyn, high in the Preseli Mountains — the hills whose bluestones ended up at Stonehenge, and which give the brewery its name. Simon Turner and his daughter Amy set it up in 2013, brewing with spring water from their own well, and run a taproom at the farm at the end of the week. It is a SIBA-assured independent, small and rooted, the kind of upland farm brewery that makes a virtue of where it is. In a national park better known for its coast, Bluestone is a reason to head inland. Drink it at the farm where it is made.
