Coffee Aroma

Coffee Aroma occupies a narrow shopfront on Guildhall Street, a few minutes from Lincoln Cathedral and the Stonebow. The coffee house opened in 2005 and built a reputation for single-origin espresso and filter coffee at a time when independent coffee shops were rare in the city centre. Upstairs seating is furnished with vintage chairs, wooden tables and cushions rather than uniform fittings. The Guardian named it among the UK's ten best coffee shops, and it has also featured in the Sunday Times' coffee lists. Rotating filter coffee comes from London roaster Ozone Coffee, alongside homemade cakes and croissants, and in the evening the counter switches to a licensed bar. The shop trades from this single Guildhall Street address only.
