Lisa Lawson founded Dear Green in Glasgow in 2011, and has grown it into one of Scotland's leading independent coffee roasters — B Corp certified, giving a share of its turnover to social and environmental causes, and named Micro Roaster of the Year by Roast magazine in 2025. It roasts in a large new premises in Bridgeton, in the East End, and supplies cafés across the city and beyond; Lawson also founded the Glasgow Coffee Festival, which tells you where the city's speciality scene has its roots. It remains independently owned and run. For a roaster, the point is the craft in the green bean and the roast — and Dear Green has spent over a decade making the case for both.
