Double Vision Cider presses apples grown at Marlpit Farm in Boughton Monchelsea, a few miles south of Maidstone, into ciders and a perry sold directly from the farm and through pubs and farm shops across Kent. The cidery runs alongside the working farm, pressing fruit from its own orchards together with bought-in local apples using traditional methods. The range runs from dry to sweet ciders, sold in bottles and by the pin to the trade, with farm sales handled by prior arrangement rather than fixed shop hours. The cider appears regularly on tap in a number of Kent free houses, including outlets around Maidstone and the Medway towns, and features in the county's CAMRA cider guides. It operates from this single farm site rather than as part of a larger drinks group, with production small enough that most locally sold cider comes directly from the farm rather than through supermarkets or national distribution.
