Little Oakhurst opened in June 2019 on Overhacking Farm at Stonyhurst, a second-generation working farm near Hurst Green in the Ribble Valley. It was set up by Joanne Collinge, who left a twenty-one-year teaching career in 2018 to help run the farm with her husband Andy and to convert part of it into a small glamping site. The single-site business offers two yurts and a handbuilt shepherd's hut, each fitted with a wood-burning stove or underfloor heating and furnished using reclaimed materials rather than off-the-shelf glamping kit. It has since featured on Channel 4's Four in a Bed and holds Green Tourism certification and a Dark Sky Friendly designation recognising the site's low light pollution. Clitheroe is five miles away and Hurst Green two, placing the farm well within reach of Ribble Valley walking routes.
