Penmon Pottery is the studio and shop of ceramic artist Lyn Gallagher, based at the Forum on Church Street in Beaumaris. Gallagher makes sculptural ceramics inspired by Anglesey's wildlife and history, and her raku puffins in particular have become locally recognised pieces sold through the shop. Alongside the retail space, the studio runs pottery workshops and classes for individuals and groups, taking bookings for people wanting a one-off hand-building or decorating session rather than a fixed weekly course. Over the past five years, Gallagher has also carried out community ceramics projects with organisations including the Anglesey Archive, Beaumaris RNLI and Disability Arts Cymru, and has worked with local schools and town councils on public art pieces. The shop sits among the small independent units clustered around Beaumaris town centre, a short walk from the castle and the seafront. Workshop sessions are by arrangement rather than a fixed timetable.
