Phoenix Pottery &Art Studio

Phoenix Pottery & Art Studio operates from a converted building on Kid Glove Road in Golborne, within the Wigan borough. Ceramic artists Lou and Nic run the studio, with Nic having previously operated a ceramics business in Wales before relocating and beginning to teach from Lou's earlier studio, Endfield Farm Pottery, in early 2023. Classes cover hand-building, wheel throwing and sculpture for complete beginners through to experienced potters working toward their own pieces, alongside occasional glass fusing sessions and raku firing days. The studio describes its aim as creating a space for creativity and wellbeing rather than pure production, and offers supervised open studio time for members with prior experience. Bookings run through an online calendar, with class times varying by course.
