Mark and Anne Braithwaite opened this gallery in York city centre in 2000, first inside the Stonegate Antiques Centre before moving to the current four-floor premises at the crossroads of Stonegate and Low Petergate in 2002. Mark paints on location around York and the wider region, and the gallery represents other artists including Bill Tolley and Gary Walton alongside a run of limited-edition prints. It holds the regional dealership for Jack Vettriano prints and offers in-house framing with custom mount cutting. Over the past decade the gallery says it has raised close to twenty thousand pounds for charity through print sales and fundraising. It opens seven days a week, a short walk from York Minster's south transept.
