Vinyl Eddie

Vinyl Eddie is a record shop at 86 Tadcaster Road, run by Eddie Parkinson alongside his father John. The shop stocks more than 40,000 vinyl records covering most genres, from well-worn classics to harder-to-find pressings, and keeps a running inventory on a public Google Sheet that customers can search before visiting. Staff take pre-orders for new releases and buy in collections from customers looking to sell. The shop has operated as a father-and-son business for more than a decade, building a following among both longstanding collectors and people buying their first turntable. It opens Tuesday to Saturday from ten until half past five, and is closed on Sundays and Mondays. The shop sits just south of Bishopthorpe Road, on the corridor toward Dringhouses and Woodthorpe.
