The Waterfront

The Waterfront occupies 18/20 Shore Street, close to Anstruther's harbour, and has built its seafood menu over twenty years of relationships with East Neuk boats and local suppliers. Guests can eat in the ground-floor restaurant or book one of the guest rooms upstairs, several of which look out over the marina and the Firth of Forth. The kitchen runs from breakfast through to a 9pm last order, with a separate service for residents staying overnight. Fresh fish and shellfish set the menu's direction, though it stretches to cover non-seafood diners too. It operates as a single, independently run restaurant and guest house rather than as part of any hotel group, with the East Neuk's fishing boats still supplying most of what lands on the plate.
